This short article is targeted on the intersectionality of race, gender, and physical violence within the everyday lives of Black/Afro-Latinas that have skilled youth abuse that is sexual. First, we talk about the traumatization of slavery, racism, and colonization in Latin America plus the Caribbean, which objectifies Black systems and renders Blackness hidden. Second, we identify institutional and interpersonal obstacles to trauma support that is seeking. 3rd, we present preliminary findings from a Listening group among survivors who took part in the Ebony Latinidad: Building Siblinghood to finish Child Sexual Abuse venture. Finally, we propose a racially and culturally certain, trauma-informed approach that attracts from the skills of survivors and centralizes their sounds and just how to intervene.
